Charly Haze Shares New Single ‘Half Wide Open’

Dutch London-based singer and songwriter Charly Haze has just shared her brand new single Half Wide Open, a bright, upbeat electro-pop cut!

Taken from her upcoming EP Poly Pop, set to arrive on September 4th via Kartel Music Group, Half Wide Open is a vibrant, wistfully energetic cut that beautifully captures the excitement of being in a new relationship and the realisation that it feels like it's slipping away. You put yourself out there, be vulnerable but the other person isn't really invested, making you see that the connection you had was only for a few fleeting moments. A relatable storytelling beautifully conveyed through Charly Haze's signature silky, yearning vocals that soar effortlessly over energetic drum fills, pulsing arpeggiators and bright, shimmering synths that make this quite an upbeat and memorable listening experience!

Speaking about the song, Charly Haze said,
I wanted to encapsulate the excitement and hopefulness of a new relationship in the production, whereas my vocal and lyrics serve as the painful reality: It wasn’t meant to be. There’s a fine line between hope and despair, love and heartbreak, and strength and vulnerability. To me, a relationship between two people is algebra. So many factors come into the equation, such as timing, personal circumstances, and only 5% of the population being poly. Something succeeding seems to be almost impossible at times.
