Filiah Shares New Single ‘On & On’

Austrian singer and songwriter Filiah shares her brand new single On & On, her second single since signing with Ink Music (My Ugly Clementine, Leyya). 

 

On & On follows the success of January’s Atlas (which was her first release since 2022), and finds the talented artist weaving her delicate, yet expressive, vocals with a tight drum groove that propels listeners through an ethereal, spacious chorus. This gem delves into the complex emotions of shame, connection, and self-discovery, beautifully capturing the universal experience of navigating personal pressures and artistic uncertainty. A cathartic journey of transformation, On & On pairs Filiah's gorgeous vocals with a 70s-inspired sound (reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac) that encourages listeners to embrace vulnerability and find strength in personal growth. Speaking about the song, Filiah said,

Shame in various forms used to affect a lot of the choices that I made, and I think it does with a lot of people, more or less consciously. On & On is about working through those feelings, facing them head-on, and finding freedom on the other side. I wanted to write a song that feels uplifting and hopeful, like the first rays of spring sunshine, yet hides some dark shades as well, if you choose to look beneath. Also, I found it’s the perfect song to either confidence-walk down the street or dance-vacuum to. encouraging listeners to embrace vulnerability and find strength in personal growth. With its infectious groove and honest storytelling, 'On & On' positions Filiah as a rising voice in contemporary indie-folk.
