I am really enjoying the intimate and vulnerable touch of the song which finds the talented artist exploring the heartbreak and cognitive dissonance of realising that someone who once brought joy is also the one who caused pain, capturing the push and pull of those conflicting emotions. A relatable song that is beautifully conveyed through her delicate, expressive vocals which are accompanied by a memorable blend of Neo soul, Bossa nova, jazz and pop elements. I am particularly fond of the Bossa Nova-inspired rhythm nicely paired with dreamy guitar lines and soulful melodies that come together to create an overall warm, intimate atmosphere perfect for a laid-back weekend!
