Matreya Shares Debut Single ‘Eagles’

Birmingham-born artist Matreya, formerly known as Mason Noise, marks a highly anticipated return to music with the release of his debut single Eagles, a reflective and hopeful exploration of resilience and transformation.

Out now via North Node Music, Eagles finds the talented artist beautifully showcasing his remarkable vocal range and tender falsetto that effortlessly draw our attention to this powerful storytelling. Here the artist reflects on all he's been through, encouraging listeners to find their inner strength through life's challenges and find their unique purpose in life. I am loving the raw emotion and soul pouring from his voice which is accompanied by a captivating, cinematic blend of elements of pop, soul, and Afro-world influences that make this quite a memorable and enthralling listening experience.

Eagles is accompanied by a visually striking music video, filmed in the breathtaking Scottish Highlands. The video’s sweeping drone footage captures verdant hills rising through the mist, a meandering river, and Matreya adorned in flowing robes, embodying the song’s themes of transformation and inner peace.

Speaking about the song, Matreya said,
‘Eagles’ is a reflection of everything I’ve been through—the grief, the healing, and the lessons I’ve learnt about trusting your path and embracing transformation,” says Matreya. “It’s about finding one’s courage and inner strength through life’s challenges and discovering one’s unique life purpose.

Eagles offers a poignant preview of Matreya’s upcoming debut album, Anchor, set for release in late 2025.
