Erin Bloomer Shares New Single ‘This One’s Gonna Hurt’

British pop sensation Erin Bloomer shares her brand new single This One’s Gonna Hurt, her most vulnerable and personal track to date. 

 

I am really enjoying the confidence and emotion pouring from her vocal delivery, soaring beautifully over the infectious pop production. This One's Gonna Hurt finds the talented artist singing about being deeply in love with someone that you realise if the relationship doesn't work out it will be quite a painful breakup. A very relatable song wrapped around an upbeat pop production with punchy beats, soaring guitars and captivating rhythms that create the perfect soundscape for her vocals and storytelling to soar. Speaking about the song Bloomer says,

If you’re in love with someone or have been before, This One’s Gonna Hurt is for you. Normally, I write songs about my friends’ situations or my followers’ stories, but This One’s Gonna Hurt is a bit different – it’s me writing about myself for a change! Here I am at my most vulnerable, writing about my own feelings, proper heart on a platter. I wrote this one in lockdown over zoom and it’s about being so in love with someone that you know if it doesn’t work out then “this one’s gonna hurt” because it’s such a special relationship. It’s me being very exposed as I’m not used to writing about myself and how I personally feel, but I think other people will be able to relate to this. If you find that special something with someone then hold on tight or this one’s gonna hurt babe! This is my most personal project yet, so I’m excited (and a little nervous) to share it with the world, but I think it will hit home for many, cos we’ve pretty much all been there, we love and sometimes we lose.
