Seattle-based, Hawaiian musician, songwriter and vocalist Emes (pronounced M.S) shares his brand new single Hurt People, a super warm, soulful piece of Contemporary R&B. 

 

I am really enjoying the tone of his voice and how expressive and soulful they are, gliding effortlessly over the infectious production. I am loving the song's warmth and how honest and relatable his storytelling is. Hurt People is backed by a killer trap-inspired beat which is nicely paired with delicate guitar plucks and smooth rhythms that culminate in a chorus perfect to sing along to. The overall atmosphere of the song is very warm and comforting, perfect for laid-back bedroom sessions.
