This is a song about whether or not to cross the line between friendship and romance, and the repercussions that come from it. Some times it works out, but for the most part we tend to lose that friend we had. Speaking about the song, Jackson Breit said,
This is a particularly meaningful song because a close friend of mine was going through it in her life. She slept with her best friend and it changed the dynamics of her relationship because she wanted to go all in after, but he didn't feel the same way. He then slightly ghosted her and they had a hard time reconciling. She talked me through the whole scenario and I then wrote this song from her perspective of the situation. It's a tale most people can relate to, wondering whether or not to cross the love line with a close friend and the repercussions.
