Hayfitz Shares New Single ‘What’s Wrong’
LA-raised, Berlin-based queer “gentle folk” purveyor Hayfitz shares his brand new single and video What's Wrong, out now via Vienna, Austria-based SeaYou Records.
What I like the most about this song is its warmth and touches of melancholia, which make it perfect for an introspective day home alone. Taken from his forthcoming sophomore album, Everything Else, due out on October 6th, What's Wrong finds the talented artist beautifully showcasing his lush vocals and beautiful falsetto which ooze so much soul and emotion, effortlessly connecting the listeners to his confessional, poetic lyricism. It's a glimpse on his intimate struggles with unrequited love and late-discovered queer indentity, something many of us can relate to. Apart from his vocals, I am particularly fond of the intricate guitars which are seamlessly paired with cool drums, subtle strings and lush atmospherics that together create an overall warm, introspective atmosphere with touches of nostalgia.
