Evelyn Cools Shares New Single ‘Control’

Following last month's beautiful single Loving You, New York-based Folk-rock singer-songwriter Evelyn Cools is back with another gem called Control, the latest single to be taken from her upcoming EP, Wilder Mind, set to arrive on June 2nd. 

 

Arguably Cools’ most vulnerable song to date, Control dives into the difficulty of letting go of things that feel comfortable but are no longer serving us. I am loving how smoothly Evelyn's lush vocals glide over the captivating folk/country production, singing about the fear of losing the best version of ourselves. I am really enjoying the enchanting harmonies and how the song presents a stunning balance between the fragility and perseverance of the human spirit over intricate acoustic guitar melodies and a delicate beat that together create an overall warm, intimate atmosphere.
