Originally started talking to a friend about what kind of spirits we enjoy going out to the bar, and I said I prefer whiskey. He proceeded to ask me if I've ever tried Japanese whiskey and I said no, which led to the inspiration of writing this track about wanting something that's gone or never having in the first place.
