La Faute Shares New Single ‘The Crown’
La Faute, the moniker of Canadian visual artist, multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Peggy Messing, is back with her brand new single The Crown, a haunting piece of dream-pop music.
The follow up to February's Blue Girl Nice Day, The Crown is the latest single to be taken from her forthcoming debut album and finds the talented artist singing about someone haunting or being haunted, showing how maybe memories and ghosts are the same thing. I am loving her dreamy, gorgeous vocals and haunting harmonies which flow seamlessly over the polished production. There's something quite eerie and mysterious about this song that got me hooked from the start and I am loving the snarly guitar, steady drum patterns, killer beat, delicate piano keys and lush atmospherics that together create an overall dreamy atmosphere perfect for a laid-back, reflective day home alone.
For this song La Faute shares its official music video that features found footage from a cult classic public domain film called “Carnival of Souls” starring Candace Hilligoss, directed by Herk Harvey. Check it out below!
