Tom Hugo Shares New Single ‘Stuck In The Middle Of Nowhere’
Tom Hugo, lead member and composer of pop powerhouse band KEiiNO, has just shared his brand new solo single Stuck In The Middle Of Nowhere, a bright and intimate piece of electro-pop music.
Taken from his upcoming EP Royal, due for release on June 2nd, which will be followed by an album, Eden, later this year, Stuck In The Middle Of Nowhere is a moving song written by Tom with his husband (and fellow KEiiNO lyricist) Alex N.O. and beautifully showcases Tom's lovely, expressive vocals which effortlessly capture the listener's attention from the start. This is an intimate and emotionally-charged song which reveals the intricacies and warmth of the couple’s songwriting and is wrapped around a bright electro-pop production with steady drums and lovely synths creating an overall warm atmosphere perfect for a laid-back weekend with someone special. Speaking about the song and upcoming project, Tom Hugo said,
Isolated in the sleepy hometown of mine in Norway during the pandemic, I spent some of the extra time at hand writing a collection of songs inspired by stories from our own and other LBGTQ+ persons’ lives. As I come from a pretty conservative part of the country it’s common that anyone different from the majority can still be seen as ‘outcasts’. I wanted to write songs which normalise being different, and shine a light on anyone struggling with fitting in.
