Steelings Share New Single ‘Sky High’

American indie band Steelings, consisting of Jacob and Sita Steele, have just shared their brand new single Sky High, a moody and intimate piece of indie folk music. 

 

Out now via Cyooty Records, Sky High was inspired by the cinematic landscapes of Scotland. A moody and chilling soundscape, with lyrics about the mystery of fate and chance. This story is beautifully conveyed through Sita Steele's gorgeous vocals which instantly capture the listener's attention and soar effortlessly over the infectious production. There's something about Sita's vocals that I find quite hypnotic and dreamy and the intricate guitar plucks, lush harmonies and steady drum patterns really enhance the emotion pouring from her vocals. I am also very fond of the shift towards the end, infusing this indie-folk gem with a groovy electronic touch that gives it a boost in energy and makes it stand out even more. Check it out below!
