Mokka Shares New Single ‘Leaving Home’ ft. Infraction

Mokka, the moniker of Russian artist Artur Safarov, has just shared his brand new single Leaving Home, a slow-tempo track co-written with Slovenian artist Infraction (Ivan Malkov). 

 

What I like the most about this song is its warmth and moody atmosphere that makes it perfect for those introspective days home alone. As the title implies, Leaving Home is a song about leaving one's homeland and the fears and uncertainty of the unknown future ahead. It's a very personal song for Mokka has he had to leave his home because of the war, describing the fear of losing his home, struggling to find his place in the world anew. This relatable storytelling is beautifully conveyed through his smooth, evocative vocals that glide atop a polished lo-fi, downtempo production with lush, expansive synths, cool electronics and steady percussive elements that together create an overall warm and intimate atmosphere.
