KIDS Share New Single ‘Night Bus’
London-based genre-bending outfit KIDS are back with their warm and sweeping new single Night Bus, the follow up to their gorgeous singles Alcohol & Cigarettes and Settle Down.
Out now via Scruff of the Neck Records, Night Bus hones in on the more tender side of the band’s genre-bending direction with a more mellow and stripped-back aesthetic. I am loving those smooth, serenading vocals which are packed with emotion, gliding effortlessly over the polished production. This offering adds a sense of depth and brevity to their exciting repertoire to date and I am absolutely in love with it. Backing those gorgeous vocals we have intricate acoustic guitar plucks seamlessly intertwined with delicate piano keys that create an overall warm and intimate atmosphere that allows for their message to soar. Night Bus is a melancholia-infused song about those nights that turn into nightmares, full of arguments that lead to early breakups. I am also very fond of the reflective atmosphere of the song and how it sounds perfect for a laid-back day home alone. Check it out below!

‘Night bus' is about those nights out that turn into nightmares. Relationship arguments that completely take over. Sometimes the best thing to do is to walk away. We wanted to capture the moment of getting on a cold lonely London bus as you reflect on how these bad experiences can turn into good memories.
