Kimberly Morgan York Shares Powerful Visuals For New Single ‘Numb’

American singer and songwriter Kimberly Morgan York exposes the devastation of domestic violence in harrowing video for Numb, the latest single to be taken from her new album, Keep on Goin', out now via Team Clermont.

Numb is a song about the struggles one goes through while loving someone with mental illness or addiction, ending up being a victim of abuse, be it physical or psychological. I am really enjoying the tone of her voice which is packed with raw, honest emotion, gliding beautifully over the polished country/americana production. Apart from her vocals I am very fond of the twangy guitar lines and steady drum patterns that create an overall warm atmosphere perfect for her voice and relatable storytelling to soar.

Accompanying the release, we have a harrowing video, directed by Erica Strout, which captures the devastation of domestic violence. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Kimberly Morgan York said,

This song is about loving someone with mental illness or addiction. All of my music is based on real life…heart ache, perseverance, joy, abuse, struggle, victory, and love. I want listeners to be able to connect to my music… to see reflections of their own stories in mine. I hope my songs make people feel less alone in their journey. I also want to entertain them and inspire people to laugh and let go.
