Diver Through Share New Single ‘To Death’

American trio Diver Through, consisting of Michael Baynes (vox/guitars), Mike Rellah (Bass), and Ken Nasta (Drums), have just shared their brand new single To Death, a cool indie-pop/rock song with 90s vibes. 

 

The first single to be taken from their upcoming EP All nighter, set to arrive on September 9th, To Death is a bittersweet tune about how we address death and realising that everything comes down to death in the end. This message is wrapped around a polished, 90s-infused production that features intricate, somewhat jangly, guitar riffs that are seamlessly intertwined with steady drum patterns that create the perfect atmosphere for Michael Baynes's expressive vocals to soar. I was dealing with actual death and just thought it was a funny comment (and yes, hook) on how we address death as a salutation a lot and how it all comes down to death in the end. It blends fact and fiction and it tells an earnest little story. It’s one of those bittersweet tunes that allows it to be equal parts funny, endearing, and yet a little sad.
