Chris Noah Shares New Single ‘sunboy’

Latvian singer and songwriter Chris Noah is back with a summer-ready track called sunboy, which is out now via Sony Music Finland.

I am a fan of distinctive vocals and how passionate his delivery is, soaring beautifully over the sun-soaked melodies. Produced by Chris Noah and his long-time collaborator, Kristofer Harris (Bears Den, Belle and Sebastian, etc.) sunboy pairs 80's-infused elements with a dose of nostalgic undertones that instantly that instantly won me over right after the very first listen. Sunboy is inspired by the relationships that overcome personal shortcomings and self-destructive habits, a confession of love in many ways. This message is wrapped around a memorable production that features a pounding snare, rolling synths and a gorgeous saxophone that together create an overall warm, retro-infused atmosphere that oozes carefree summer vibes.

Accompanying the release, Chris Noah has shared its official music video, directed by Helen Takkin, which was shot in Barcelona and beautifully embodies the song's message and atmosphere. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Chris Noah said,
I am really happy about this song. I feel like I’ve found my sound in a lot of ways and it just feels good. It got pretty depressing for me during the pandemic and I made a couple of bad personal decisions that inspired this idea. But all in all there’s so many positive aspects to this track – we had so much fun making it, and I guess you can hear that in the music too.
