Cosmic Crooner Shares New Single ‘Girlfriend’

Amsterdam-based singer and songwriter Cosmic Crooner has just shared his brand new single Girlfriend, a smooth, retro-tinged piece of indie-pop music. 

 

What I like the most about this song is Cosmic Crooner's smooth, soulful vocals and how evocative his vocal delivery is, beautifully drawing our attention to his storytelling. Girlfriend is a soulful song about crying and how, sometimes, Italian songs are the solution for every problem. This message is wrapped around a polished production that features catchy piano keys that are seamlessly intertwined with steady drum patterns and cool guitar riffs that create an overall warm, somewhat hazy, feel-good atmosphere perfect for a chill weekend out in the sun. 

 

Accompanying the release, Cosmic Crooner has shared its official music video, directed by oep Meyer and Lin Bartraij, which was completely shot on film and inspired by Nouvelle Vague movies. Check it out below!
