Heidrunna Shares New Single ‘Cindy’
Icelandic singer and songwriter Heidrunna has just shared her brand new single Cindy, the latest single to be taken from her upcoming debut album Melodramatic, set to arrive on April 21st through Klaka Records.
Cindy is a symphonic dancefloor cut that finds the artist soaring back to her Icelandic roots and I am loving it. I don't understand much of what she is singing in her native language, but we can truly feel that charming confidence that pours from her gorgeous vocal delivery, effortlessly backed by a groovy, nu-disco infused production. Apart from her smooth, confident vocal delivery I am very fond of the killer bass and how it is paired with bright, shimmering synths, funky and groovy nu-disco rhythms that create an overall feel-good, danceable atmosphere perfect for a fun Saturday night out! It’s a homage to the one and only Cindy Lauper ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’. Exactly who I was dancing to in my kitchen whilst writing this song.
