RONIA Shares New Single ‘the other side’
Following the success of her hauntingly beautiful debut single ghost, Swedish 21-year-old singer and songwriter RONIA is back with her sophomore single the other side, an infectious indie/electro-pop song out now via Charming Music.
Like its predecessor, I am really enjoying the tone of her vocals and how they are packed with emotion, instantly drawing our attention to her storytelling. Inspired by her favourite movie and book Coraline, the other side is a song about how a relationship may look perfect but in reality is completely the opposite. This message is wrapped around a memorable electronic production packed with a pulsing beat, lush synths and cool rhythms that create a warm, feel-good atmosphere that makes me think of those long summer drives out in the sun. Definitely another memorable piece of music from RONIA which I think you will like. Check it out below!
Speaking about the song, RONIA said,
’the other side’ is inspired by my favorite movie and book ’coraline’. As presented in both the movie and this song, some things can seem promising in the beginning, but eventually turn out to be rotten. In this case, the other side of a seemingly perfect relationship is really the opposite - as horrifying as the other person.
