Heidrunna Shares New Single ‘Daydreamer’
Following last month's dreamy indie-pop single Erasing You, Iceland’s artist Heidrunna has just shared her brand new single Daydreamer, the latest single to be taken from her upcoming debut album Melodramatic, set to arrive on April 21st through Klaka Records.
This dreamy piece of electro-pop music finds Heidrunna reminiscing about a long-lost love and the joyful feelings of falling in love with someone. I am really enjoying Heidrunna's smooth, sweet vocals which glide beautifully over the upbeat melodies, instantly infusing the song with a dreamy, ethereal-like vibe. I am very fond of the cool guitar riffs which are nicely paired with warm, danceable rhythms, bright synths and steady percussive elements that create an overall warm, laid-back atmosphere. Speaking about the song, Heidrunna said,
Daydreamer is one of my favourite songs that I’ve written so far. It came about as I was walking home on a crisp sunny day, I started humming this melody with the lyric ‘daydreamer’ and it made me feel incredible. So good that when I came home I went straight to the piano and started to play it… it felt so special and natural like something was in the air. It’s a love song about meeting somebody and having a romance that I’m sure many people can relate to – that feeling of having some fun with somebody and wanting to do that all over again… and of course like most of my songs, it has a bit of a sad ending.”
