Florida-based singer and songwriter Ike Rhein has just shared his brand new single Messed It Up, a super smooth piece of Neo Soul/R&B featuring Missouri artist Luh Kel. 

 

I am really enjoying Ike Rhein's passionate vocal delivery which is packed with so much emotion, being nicely paired with Luh Kel's more honeyed tone. Produced by Sogimura, Messed It Up is a song about longing to change something about yourself in order to belong with someone else, but realizing that the whole thing was just a misunderstanding in your head. The song shows that we can take a failed relationship and turn it into a learning experience, and reflecting on ourselves. 

 

This relatable message is wrapped around a memorable production packed with a smooth beat nicely intertwined with delicate piano chords that create an overall warm, emotional atmosphere for this infectious, impassioned anthem to soar.
