Dekker Shares New Single ‘Back and Forth’

American singer and songwriter Dekker is back with his brand new single Back and Forth, a super smooth piece of indie-folk music out now via Useful Fictions.

I am a fan of Dekker's vocals and how they instantly infuse the song with a touch of vulnerability, with a remarkable, fragile falsetto voice that enhances the emotion of his storytelling. Taken from his upcoming album I Won't Be Your Foe, Back and Forth was recorded and produced with Berlin drummer Stefan Wittich and mix and mastered by Zach Hanson (Bon Iver, The Staves) in Winsconsin. This is a relatable and honest song about the ebb and flow of life and one's mood and is wrapped around intricate guitar melodies that are nicely paired with a smooth and steady drum beat that create an overall warm, soothing and intimate atmosphere perfect for a relaxing day at home.

Accompanying the release, Dekker has shared its official music video, filme on an old dirt path in the pecan orchards of middle Georgia, USA. Check it out below!
