I am a fan of the original's indie/folktronica atmosphere but I have to say that I am falling more in love with this acoustic version and it enhances what I love the most about the original: FERGUS' gorgeous vocals and storytelling abilities. This acoustic version serves as a stark reminder of FERGUS raw talent as an instinctive singer and musician. The beautiful, evocative soundscape is created solely by the artists emotive vocal and his guitar. The end result is a highly captivating piece of music packed with raw, honest emotion and an overall warm and intimate atmosphere. It’s a song about commitment and persevering, even though it hurts. So, although it sounds dark and painful, really, it’s a message of dedication and hope. A declaration of love.”
