Alma Cook Unveils New Single ‘Long Division’

LA-based singer-songwriter Alma Cook has just unveiled her brand new single Long Division, a super smooth piece of Contemporary R&B with pop sensibilities.

I am a fan of Alma Cook's velvety, dynamic vocal delivery which is packed with tons of soul and confidence, gliding beautifully over the chilled out production. Long Division is an empowering self-love anthem, sharing a message that one should have been picked instead of someone else. This is a very relatable song when you have feelings for someone but they choose another person, and you feel they made a mistake and that they may end up regretting that decision. I am loving Alma's confident vocal delivery and how it is nicely backed by a polished Contemporary R&B production packed with lush guitar riffs and a memorable beat that creates an overall warm, laid-back atmosphere. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Alma Cook said,
Long Division goes out to the smart girls. Dripping in the kind of wordplay you'd find in a Taylor Swift revenge track, the song makes subtle & not-so-subtle references to numbers & terms you once used in high school math. The thesis is simple: you should've picked me instead of her, & we both know you regret it—"it's fundamental.
