Corentin Ollivier Shares New Single ‘Someone Great’
French singer and songwriter Corentin Ollivier has just shared his brand new single Someone Great, an acoustic cover of LCD Soundsystem's hit single of the same name.
Out now via Clignancourt Records – Grand Musique Management, this cover was recorded live at Motorbass Studio and beautifully captures the emotional punch of the original, but with a heightened vulnerability that comes from its stripped down, bare bones approach. I love that this is an acoustic guitar-based song that allows for the listener to fully focus on Corentin's gorgeous vocal delivery and storytelling. This is simply my favorite LCD Soundsystem song, I get caught up in its writing every time. There are some pretty strong phrases in this song, but "the worst is all the lovely weather" always gets me.
