ALTAN Shares New Single ‘Nevermind’
Following the smooth R&B cut Lies back in September, Hamburg-based singer, songwriter and producer ALTAN is back with his brand new single Nevermind, a smooth electro-pop track out now via Anubis Records.
I am very fond of his breathy, ethereal-like vocal delivery which instantly sets a soothing tone to the whole song. Nevermind is a song about struggling to cope with difficult situations, not knowing when things will get better. This relatable message is wrapped around a polished electro-pop production packed with a memorable driving beat, lush synths and warm atmospherics that create an overall laid-back atmosphere perfect for an introspective day home alone. Speaking about the song, ALTAN said,
Nevermind is about dealing with difficult circumstances. I wrote this song at the peak of the pandemic where so many people, including myself, struggled with their life situation not knowing when things will get better. It describes a person who wants to help a loved one out of the unknown, but isn't able to do so and finally reaches the point of indifference. "I'd rather hear a note of hope that it's alright but never mind".
