OLI Shares New Single ‘Don’t Give Up’

London-based singer and songwriter OLI has just shared her brand new single Don't Give Up, a captivating electro-pop song out now via Ben-Addiction Music.

I am a fan of OLI's emotive pop vocals and how they beautifully draw the listener's attention to her storytelling. As the title implies, Don't Give Up is a song about being resilient in the face of adversity, something most of us had to go through during the lockdowns. Its positive message is enhanced by a memorable production packed with a sultry combination of deep bass, subtle piano keys and swirling synth textures that sit beneath OLI’s effortlessly cool vocals. I am loving the lush atmospherics and ethereal touches which create quite an expansive and powerful atmosphere that I find perfect for an introspective day at home or for long drives during sunset.

Speaking about the song, OLI said,
I think last year a lot of the feeling was just to keep going and keep your head above water. I felt that around me a lot, friends losing jobs, experiencing periods of bad mental health and somehow pushing on. It made me realise how resilient people are and how little they give themselves credit for it. I wanted the song to show that, to feel like a voice inside your head letting you know everything will be alright. That we are in this together. If anything, I hope the listener feels a little encouraged after hearing the song.
Accompanying the release, OLI has shared its equally luscious music video, directed by Heini Susanne, which was shot in Finland and sees a weary traveller lost in the snow-covered woods, battling his inner demons as he tries to find refuge. Check it out below!

Speaking about the video, OLI said,
I knew we didn’t need to be near to create something great together. The music video was actually filmed in Finland without me there. I wanted Heini to feel like she could do/try whatever she thought would look unique, instead of me instructing her on what I wanted.
