Sam Walwyn Shares New Single ‘Mama Plum’

Following the success of his singles First Place and Littered Sense Of You, fast-rising British singer and songwriter Sam Walwyn has just unveiled his brand new single Mama Plum, out now via Rotoma Records.

The latest single to be lifted from his forthcoming new EP, which is set to arrive in October this year, Mama Plum delivers more of that warm and enticing pop-rock sound he is quickly earning a reputation for. I am really enjoying his passionate vocal delivery and how the song channels a smooth and shimmering array of soaring and captivating textures throughout. I am particularly fond of its vibrant and warm pop/rock sonority which is packed with soaring guitars and punchy drums. Check it out below!

Speaking about the new track, Sam Walwyn said, I wrote Mama Plum when I was 16 and it finally feels like the right time to release it. I snuck out of the house through my window and ran along the street to the nearest field where I sat in the middle of it and started writing what later turned into Mama Plum. This song reminds me of growing up in Jersey. Growing up exploring, surfing and getting drunk in the woods. My friends and I weren’t popular enough to go to all the parties so we made our own fun which ended up making the best memories ever! This song reminds me of those times.
