Liam O’Brien Shares New Single ‘Us’

Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter Liam O'Brien has just shared his brand new single Us, an infectious pop song about feeling lost in the past, about losing someone you loved.

I am really enjoying Liam's passionate vocals and how they effortlessly convey the emotion of his relatable storytelling. Us takes a happy approach to truly being very lost in the past, feeling heartbroken after losing someone you loved. But you soon realise that you need to find yourself first before thinking about an "us". I am loving how Liam's gorgeous vocals are wrapped around catchy pop melodies that create an overall feel-good atmosphere. I am particularly fond of the punchy beat, cool guitar riffs and how powerful his vocals are. This is a memorable electro-pop song packed with tons of emotion and energy, being perfect for a fun weekend. Accompanying the release, Liam O'Brien has shared its official music video, which he directed with Ben Danielson, that beautifully embodies the song's message and atmosphere. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Liam O'Brien said,
When I wrote Us, there was somewhat of an embarrassing feeling that I was still writing about somebody I’d left over a year ago. This is where the video concept of an adult female who’s secretly obsessed with me stemmed from. I think music videos are meant to be weird, artistic, yet still meet the theme of the song. This video did just that. The video starts with her coming home from work, ready to get into comfy clothes and chill. As she sits there with her hoodie, she lets her mind wander and eventually gives in, pulling out a box of my merch under her bed and singing my entire song to the camera as if she’s still a raging fan. She too could not let go of her past, no matter how ridiculous it seems to others and herself, this is still how she truly feels and she’s not ready to let go just yet.
