Merchant Unveil New Single ‘Don’t Feel Like Dancing’
Los Angeles-based artist Merchant has just shared his brand new single Don't Feel Like Dancing, a high-energy piece of indie-pop music out now via Hands Off The Merchandise.
Crafted with Duran Duran's legendary bassist John Taylor (who also co-produced Merchant's upcoming EP), Don't Feel Like Dancing is an upbeat piece of indie/electro-pop music about being broken hearted and is wrapped around a memorable production that instantly got me in a good mood. I am particularly fond of the explosive beat that is nicely paired with shimmering synths and hard-charging guitars (got to love that guitar solo by Drawn To The Sky's guitarist Dustin Gill) which create a high-energy, euphoric atmosphere on which Merchant's impassioned vocals soar effortlessly over. There's somewhat of a retro touch, mostly due to the bright synths, that I find quite captivating and timeless, with the song's overall warm, feel-good atmosphere making it a great song for the summer.
