Benita Shares New Single ‘Out of Here’
Canadian singer and songwriter Benita has just shared her brand new single Out of Here, a chill piece of R&B/Soul music.
I am really enjoying Benita's soulful vocals which instantly command the listener's attention to her storytelling. Based on the emotions felt during the beginning of the pandemic, Out of Here explores those urges people got to just get out and go meet their special someone, but all you could do was to think about how normal life was before the lockdowns. It's tough to be separated from someone you like and Benita beautifully explores those emotions in this song. Apart from her rich, soulful vocals I am particularly fond of the infectious melodies and how the song has an overall warm, laid-back atmosphere perfect for those relaxing days at home. Speaking about the song, Benita said,
Out of Here is a chill/vibey song that was based on the emotions felt during the beginning of the pandemic. I was feeling super creative and wanted to write a song about what would happen if the world were to end right now while being stuck between these four walls. I mentioned the 'sky turning red' because I wanted to paint a picture of being in the middle of an apocalypse. This song explores the urge to take a risk just to see that special person when all you could do is reminisce about how normal life was before with them.
