Natalie Shay Unveils New Single ‘Medicine Boy’

London-based multi award-winning, indie pop/rock artist Natalie Shay has just shared her brand new single Medicine Boy, a catchy electro-pop song that compares a dysfunctional relationship with a boy to a drug. I am really enjoying her lovely, expressive vocals which soar effortlessly over the upbeat electro-pop production. Medicine Boy captures the essence of a bittersweet relationship, playing with the idea that just because the relationship isn't that good, it doesn't mean that it's totally unhealthy. This message is wrapped around an infectious production packed with cool guitar riffs nicely intertwined with shimmering synths and cool percussion that create an overall feel-good summer atmosphere. Cehck it out below!

Speaking about the song, Shay explains,
The lyrics are written so that if I told you the whole song was about an addictive relationship, it would make sense. But if I also told you the whole song was about recreational drug use, every line would still make sense. I was very stuck in my own head and emotions at the time of writing, it was an uncertain time and I'd been doing a lot of thinking and growing up.
