FADES Unveil New Single ‘Aware’ ft. Shaefri
London alternative-pop duo FADES, consisting of brothers Nick and Luke Jekyll, have just shared their brand new single Aware featuring Irish-Egyptian artist Shaefri.
Aware is the writer/producer duo's first collaboration with Shaefri and I think they chose the best vocalist for this song. I am loving Shaefri's smooth, somewhat dreamy, vocals and how they beautifully connect the listener to their storytelling.
Aware touches on moody house/EDM inspired beats and tropical guitar lines that accompany Shaefri’s moody melodic topline, resulting into a highly captivating piece of music. I am loving the atmospheric, somewhat sombre, touch in the song that is nicely paired with a pop-leaning sensibility that makes Aware an earworm of a song. This is one of those songs that remind me of carefree summer days by the beach or long drives at night and its overall feel-good, laid-back vibes are just perfect for the weekend. Check it out below!
We were big fans of Shaefri, having heard her music at W Songs showcases and were so keen to have her as our first feature vocalist, and release our first single with her. We wanted something dark and atmospheric like Elderbrook or Camelphat, but maintaining a super pop top-line and the session with Shaefri was pure magic.
