Celine Cairo Shares String Version Of ‘The Fire’
Back in April Dutch singer and songwriter Celine Cairo shared her brand new single The Fire, an emotional song about struggling with mental health, out now via Ivy Records.
The Fire is the third single to be taken from her upcoming sophomore album that is set to arrive in August. Taken from her upcoming album Overflow, The Fire is a stunning song on which Celine's stunning vocals sing about her personal battles between darkness and light, of womanhood and her own struggles with mental health.
I am a big fan of the original version and now the Dutch songstress releases a string version of this gem and I've got to say that it is now my favourite version of the song. The emotive piano chords of the original are now paired with lush strings that enhance the emotion pouring from her vocals and storytelling while giving it an epic and cinematic atmosphere. Celine's bewitching vocals soar as she tells a deeply personal story over an old upright piano and a delicate string arrangement by renowned cellist Jonas Pap. This version sounds perfect to be played during live shows as I am sure people will adore its raw and intimate atmosphere. Check it out below!
