Frances Luke Accord Share New Single ‘Maria’

Frances Luke Accord, the project of US singer-songwriters Nicholas Gunty and Brian Powers, have just shared their brand new single Maria, the lead single of their new EP, Sunnyside, out now via Two-Dale Records.

This is a new version of their 2018 single Maria and sees the duo transform it with a richer synchrony between lyrics and music. This new version features prominent banjo riffs that are effortlessly intertwined with acoustic guitar riffs and emotive piano chords that beautifully back their warm, soothing vocal delivery while enhancing the spiritual centre of the song's narrative arc. I am really enjoying the new production in this version, especially the vocals (which are infused with even more emotion) and the banjo and how the overall atmosphere remains intimate and perfect for a laid-back day home alone with one's thoughts.
