Connor Leckenby Shares Debut Single ‘Don’t Be Scared’

British singer and songwriter Connor Leckenby makes his solo musical introduction with the release of his debut single Don't Be Scared.

Written during the pandemic,  Don't Be Scared is an insight into Connor's mindset throughout the lockdown periods and the overwhelming sense of grief and despair that drew him to turning his creative instincts back to writing lyrics after a 10 year period of inactivity.

Don't Be Scared is a piano ballad with pop sensibilities that shares a message of hope, that things will get better. This message is wrapped around an upbeat and uplifting production that allows for his strong, soothing vocals to soar. I am also enjoying how the song builds up with energy which gives the song somewhat of an euphoric touch while enhancing his positive and hopeful message. Check it out below!

 

Speaking about the song, Connor said, 

So the song is basically my mental journey as a creative person in the lockdown. It travels from feelings of desperation and loss to an overall feeling of resolve and hope that there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we all have people that care.
