Daniel Hayford Shares New Single ‘I Like It’
Dutch singer, songwriter and producer Daniel Hayford has just shared his sophomore single I Like It, a catchy pop song about bad habits.
I am really enjoying the tone of Daniel's vocals and how they beautifully convey the emotion of his relatable storytelling over an infectious electro-pop production.
I Like It is a song about dealing with temptations and bad habits, be it a toxic relationship or other daily routine bad habits one has. Most people tend to stick to what they're familiar with even if it's an unhealthy relationship, because the thought of being lonely is so scary that it outweighs the pain of being in a toxic relationship. I guess we have somewhat of a masochistic personality when it comes to love and Daniel perfectly captures those feelings in this catchy song. I am also really enjoying the cool guitar plucks and catchy percussion that create a warm atmosphere for his storytelling and lovely vocals to soar. Check it out below!
Speaking about the song, Daniel said,
At the time of writing this song I was in a really sad place in which I felt alone while I was in a relationship with someone. Even though I was feeling so down, I was still there for that person 24/7. I saw the patterns, but I was so in love and scared to be lonely that it outweighed the pain. What I’m basically trying to say is: I HATE LOVE, IT’S AMAZING!
