Leire Shares New Single ‘Waterfall’

London-based, Spanish singer and songwriter Leire has just unveiled her brand new single Waterfall, a captivating song that talks about freedom.

The 3rd single from her debut EP, Me, You, This World, Waterfall is a lovely electro-pop song on which Leire effortlessly showcases her powerful vocals and songwriting skills. I am really enjoying the punchy drums and how the chorus is perfect to sing along to, infusing the song with an anthemic touch. Waterfall is Leire's way of speaking against any kind of social inequality, sharing the message of fighting against oppression and finally being free. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Leire said,

I got the inspiration of this song from the Black Lives Matter movement, but later I realised that this song really refers to any kind of social inequality. Sexual orientation, genre, race... It describes a process of fighting against the system and finally feeling free. With the word ‘waterfall’ I refer to freedom, like the water falls free, like opening your arms and flying, like being part of the Earth. It’s also a criticism to all the people that think they understand but they don’t, people that don’t understand white privilege, people that don’t support feminism, people that don’t accept the LGBTQ collective.
