Lea Porcelain Share New Single ‘Choirs To Heaven’

Berlin-based duo Lea Porcelain, comprised of producer Julien Bracht and singer Markus Nikolaus., have just shared their brand new single Choirs To Heaven, which showcases their unique blend of post-punk, indie and garage rock with just the right amount of melancholy.

I am loving the hypnotic vocal delivery and how it soars beautifully over the intricate guitar patterns, steady percussion, lush piano keys, heavy electronics and synthesizers and an overall ambient soundscape.

Accompanying this stunning new single is a mesmerising video directed by Peter Kaaden, Cezari Zacharewicz as DOP and Lera Abova as the main protagonist of the video, while being under quarantine in Funkhaus Berlin. Check it out below!

Speaking about the video, director Peter Kaaden explains,

Me and the band have been friends for a long time now. During Corona, we were all feeling so isolated. We were all listening to their new songs and we had the idea of putting all these feelings we had into a music video. Choirs to Heaven became the soundtrack to my isolation to be honest... the song and lyrics both fit the situation and mood perfectly. We also luckily had the chance to work with the perfect crew. The location was Berlin's infamous Funkhaus - and it was such a blessing. I don't think anybody ever (not even Hollywood!) was allowed to use all these rooms for just one video... and the real star for me was Lera. I really don't think I have to say a lot about why she was more than a perfect fit for this.
