I really like this song and especially its message as I tend to feel quite lonely sometimes and I long to find love but so far nothing. Oh I Wish shares a vision of having the love of your life right in front of you that you can smell them and touch them, but then you wake up and it was all just a dream. It's this feeling that Jacob beautifully conveys with his heartfelt storytelling, emotive vocal delivery and haunting harmonies. I recorded this song with producer Justin Glasco (Andrew Bird, Christina Perri, The Lone Bellow). Our intention: to create a space where the listener could slip into a dream, losing themselves in the depths of love and fantasy. When the final guitar fades out, reality sets back in. The dream is over. But we're left with a sense of love and we're re-connected to our passion for connection.
