Trunky Juno Share New Single ‘So Cool’
Newcastle-based indie-pop artist Trunky Juno is back with his brand new single So Cool, out now via Silent Kid Records. So Cool is a lofi pop gem, boasting massive choruses whilst remaining as irreverent as ever.
One thing that really captured my attention was the song's infectious energy and eccentricity and how it revels in the sweet nostalgic silliness of pop, whilst retaining his signature lofi indie edge. Loving those distinctive vocals and how they soar over the upbeat production packed with groovy guitar riffs and punchy drums. I particularly like the guitar solo and how addictive the chorus is, instantly making me sing along to it after the very first listen. If you're into infectious pieces of Bedroom/indie-pop music with tons of energy and an overall feel-good, summery atmosphere, then you'll love So Cool. Check it out below!
Speaking about the track, Trunky says,
So Cool is definitely the most silly and fun single so far. It came together really quickly as a very tongue in cheek, ironic take on pop music. It’s kind of like it’s a song from the late 90’s/early 2000s that everyone’s forgotten about, and can’t believe we ever liked in the first place? Kind of like Tom Green, or those Budwieser ads with the frog. Cringe inducing nostalgia, reminding you of when you thought you were so cool.
