Nashville-based Folk/Americana singer and songwriter Glenn Thomas has just shared his lovely new single All You Can Do, a song that shares the message that certain things are out of our control and we shouldn't get too worked up about it.
Glenn Thomas has an incredible talent to pick a relatable, timely message and transform it into a soothing anthem for all of us that get stressed about things that get out of our control, reminding us not to get worked up about it and realise that things aren't always what we want them to be. I am really enjoying the tone of his smooth vocals and how they are backed by intricate acoustic guitar melodies beautifully intertwined with lush strings and emotive piano keys that create a warm and intimate atmosphere that allows for his vocals and message to soar effortlessly. Speaking about the song, Glenn Thomas said,
I remember waking up on news years day last year with a splitting hangover and sitting in shame fumbling around with my guitar and fingerpicking the main part of this song. I was thinking of all the resolutions of friends and family I had heard the night before, and in a fortunate moment of feeling like crap, resolved to just accept things the way they were — which often is the hardest thing to do. The lyrics came pretty quickly thinking of how sometimes, despite our best intentions, things aren’t always as we want them to be, and to not to get too worked up about it.
