Zachary Knowles Drops New Single ‘Cherry Wine’
Texas-based singer, songwriter and instrumentalist Zachary Knowles has just shared his brand new single Cherry Wine, taken from his upcoming EP, Magnolia, set to arrive this May via the prestigious FADER label.
What drew me towards this song was his smooth, ethereal-like vocals and most particularly his soaring falsetto that enhances the emotion of his lovely storytelling. The song's minimal production with light percussion and lush acoustic guitar melodies are the perfect fit for his gorgeous vocals and creates such an intimate atmosphere that feels like someone is giving me a warm embrace. There's also a feel-good and laid-back atmosphere to this song that makes me come back to it over and over again!

The meaning behind 'cherry wine' is super personal. I wrote about what life looked like before I was dating the girl I love. Before we started dating I was crazy about her (at the age of 14 haha that's crazy to say) but didn't know if she felt the same. I wanted to capture what that time of my life felt like. 'cherry wine' is most definitely a love song, and in the end it all worked out. I'm happy I'm able to share this moment in time. It's a really special song.
