J.B. Boone Unveils New Single ‘Hico’
Texas-based indie/folk singer and songwriter J.B. Boone has just unveiled his brand new single Hico, a beautifully-written piece of Americana/Folk music.

As soon as I heard that acoustic guitar I knew I was in for a treat. The song has a nice storytelling vibe and it instantly caught my attention to hear what J.B. Boone was singing. The chorus has an anthemic touch and is perfect for those sing along moments! On top of those intricate acoustic guitar melodies, we have a stunning banjo section, courtesy of his dad, which gives the song a distinctive and memorable touch. There's an overall "earthy" atmosphere to this song that makes it perfect for those chilled out summer festivals. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song J.B. Boone said,
This song is really special to me - I wrote it one night ten minutes before playing it live for the first time. I brought it to my dad, and together we co-wrote the guitar and banjo parts to it; it was really special getting to record a song in the studio with my dad, and I'll never forget that.
Half-Indian and half-caucasian, the tunes from his upcoming EP "Severe Adventures" reflect his blended heritage, spanning multiple genres, yet they all seamlessly tie back his unique sound. Influences like Shakey Graves and the Tallest Man on Earth intertwine to create songs that are part indie-rock, part folk, and part alternative.
