Swimming Girls share new single ‘Pray In Silence'
Swimming Girls have just released their brand new single Pray In Silence, taken from their upcoming EP Existential Fears.

I am loving how Vanessa's vocals soar over the smooth instrumental and are packed with so much emotion, singing about coming to terms with someone's death. This is such a powerful song and the accompanying visuals really enhance its emotional message. Check it out below!

Speaking about the song, Vanessa said,
’Pray In Silence’ is a song about coming to terms with someone’s death. I wrote it on Christmas Day three years ago when my dad’s health was arguably at it’s worse. He was on medication that was shutting his body down and I thought he was going to die that week. At times like these you wish that you believed in a god just so you can justify the situation by saying ‘he’ll be in a better place’. I don’t believe in a god so I had to fully mourn and come to terms with the fact that I might not ever see him again. But I think everyone prays in moments of desperation, just in case.
Hand in hand with new music are a pair of headline shows that have just been confirmed for Swimming Girls. They’ll play Bristol’s Exchange on June 10th, before heading to London on the 11th to play The Lexington to celebrate the release of the EP. Before then, they’ll play The Great Escape and Dot-to-dot Festival.
