Bad Gyal Unveils ‘Mas Raro’ Music Video

Barcelona-based multi-lingual artist, autotune queen and self-entitled La más pegá de España, Bad Gyal takes us all to London in the visuals for the Cadenza-produced new track, Mas Raro. I was expecting a dance track but this is a more sensual and smoother track from her previous singles Internationally and Candela.

Mas Raro is a love letter to the UK's afroswing sound, with Bad Gyal putting her own spin on the genre's sound and in turn expressing her appreciation for some of her favourite artists; Abra Cadabra, Lotto Boyzz, Kojo Funds and more. Set to delicate, minimalistic synths, Bad Gyal’s signature autotuned delivery weaves through the track’s sun-tinged instrumental, providing infectious bilingual hooks as she sings in both Catalan and English. Shot by Kirx, the director responsible for videos from Mabel, Not3s, Lotto Boyzz, Fredo, Kojo Funds and more, the video was shot in the Dalston and Hoxton districts of London, showing off a number of landmarks from the surrounding areas - another token of Bad Gyal's love of the city.
