Sheffield dream-pop outfit Heavy Lids have just unveiled their debut single Neon Graffiti. This is a beautiful piece of dream-pop musical with shimmering guitars and dreamy synths. Lead singer Maria Vegro's vocals add an ethereal and hypnotic vibe to this dreamy song. Stream it below!
Speaking about the single the 5-piece band said,
we chose Neon Graffiti for our first single cause it’s about the Park Hill flats in Sheffield and the redevelopment they’re currently undergoing. The song is trying to reflect the state of change that it's currently in and gentrification more generally, like the appropriation of the famous graffiti 'i love you will u marry me' as a neon sign.
