London-based multi-instrumentalists HANNIE, have just unveiled their brand new single Target, featuring Ralph. Much like recent acts Disclosure and Clean Bandit, HANNIE write and co-produce their own tracks, handpicking different vocalists to collaborate with for each track.
Speaking about the song they said,
Target was one of the first songs we ever wrote together. Ralph was over from Toronto and so we were super happy to be able to write a song with her. It was awesome fun and the song came together so easily. Ralph works just like us - quickly, and we love that! It's all about being a free spirit, wanting to settle, but just not being able to. The song hints at a relationship but we wrote it thinking about more than just that. It's about not being content with where you are and always wanting to move on to the next step. Not in a dissatisfied way, more in a wanting things to continually improve kind of way. Ralph sings it amazingly and we couldn’t be happier with it.
